Distribution planning in the smart era: do we need cyber-physical simulations?
This panel will focus on developments in the move towards low carbon distribution networks, in particular integrating renewable energy. The primary objective of this panel is to present the state-of-the-art and the vision for the future of the emerging distribution networks, in particular in the context of smarter grids. The range of topics includes residential and higher voltage networks, considering technologies and resources such as micro-generation, wind energy and advanced metering data. The speakers will present work and perspectives from across Europe of general interest and relevance.
