Accommodation and flight notice
On July 1st Croatia will officially become the 28th member of the European Union. In this period, Zagreb is expected to host a great number of visitors which will result in high occupancy of its hotels. Please visit the Accommodation section of our website and book a hotel as early as possible to avoid problems.

Make sure to register before May 1st as from this day onwards the reduced rates will no longer apply.
Preliminary program and Student Paper Contest information added to the site
A preliminary daily program is now available under "Program". Information on the oral finale of the IEEE Region 8 Student Paper Contest, colocated with EUROCON, has also been added to the site.
Accommodation and transportation info added to the site
Information on accommodation and transportation is available on the website. A list of hotels with special conference rates can be found under "Accommodation" in the main menu, while the "Getting around" tab contains instructions on how to reach the city and the conference venue.
Notification of Acceptance
The reviewing procedure of over 450 contributions has finished and the authors have received notifications of acceptance. The final papers should be submitted by April 15, 2013.

On behalf of the Program Committee and Organizing Committee, we invite you to join the IEEE EUROCON 2013 in Zagreb, Croatia. The EUROCON history goes back to 1971 and Lausanne, Switzerland where the first conference was organized. This multidisciplinary conference with a tradition of gathering experts from all electro-technical areas, Electrical, Electronics and Information Technology, was renewed in 2001 and since it became a flagship conference of the IEEE Region 8.
EUROCON 2013 will be held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. Distinguished keynote speakers, special sessions and parallel paper and poster sessions will cover a variety of topics focusing on the latest research. The Conference will be held from Monday, 1 July to Thursday, 4 July 2013. We are preparing an interesting networking and social program including Welcome and Closing reception, Gala dinner and several optional cultural and sightseeing tours.
Zagreb is well known for its hospitality, rich cultural life, numerous museums, theatres, concert halls and art galleries. We will do our best to provide you a memorable time in Croatia. We are looking forward to seeing you in Zagreb!
History of EUROCON
The history of the IEEE Region 8 Conference EUROCON reaches back in 1971, when the first EUROCON was held in Lausanne, Switzerland. After a 12-year pause, in 2001 it was renewed as a biennale:
- EUROCON 2001: July 2001, Bratislava, Slovakia
- EUROCON 2003: September 2003, Ljubljana, Slovenia
- EUROCON 2005: November 2005, Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro
- EUROCON 2007: September 2007, Warsaw, Poland
- EUROCON 2009: May 2009, Saint-Petersburg, Russia
- EUROCON 2011: April 2011, Lisbon, Portugal
